Society of Morons
Matt Foy launched Society of Morons in the fall of 1990, during a trying time in his life, when all was thought to have been lost. Matt didn't realize how much more he had to lose until later. Life is strange like that sometimes. Fate is not a well trained animal. Let's just leave it at that.
Mr. Foy had an epiphany, of sorts, one could say. He decided he would try to record an album for which he played all of the instruments, did all of the singing and writing; and, all of the direction and production. With the aid of one very talented engineer, Mike Coleman, Orangewood Ranch Studios, Matt put together a work which garnered the praise of CMJ, Sound Choice Magazine, MCA and Time - Warner, among other accolades. He then proceeded to vanish, basically, off of the face of the Earth. Seriously. He ended up spending years in the Southeastern U.S. trying to survive as a drummer, waiter, construction worker and entertainment director.
So he has finally reappeared and would like to continue to share his music with you.
Please enjoy.
